Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC), founded in 2021, is the dedicated entity leading the promotion and operation of motorsport in Saudi Arabia, playing a central role in advancing the Kingdom’s position as a global motorsport destination in line with Vision 2030.
Operating under the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and the Ministry of Sport, SMC is responsible for hosting, operating, and promoting some of the world’s leading motorsport events, including the Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, Dakar Rally, Extreme H, and the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). Its role extends to developing strategic partnerships, enhancing the audience experience, and supporting the sector’s operational, commercial, and technical growth. Through this work, SMC contributes to strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a global destination for motorsport and major sporting events, while supporting economic diversification, tourism growth, and local talent development.

Dakar Rally
The Dakar Rally is one of the toughest and most renowned desert rallies in the world. Since moving to Saudi Arabia in 2020, the Kingdom’s diverse terrain and natural geography have provided an ideal extension of the rally’s competitive character, bringing together elite drivers and co-drivers in a challenge that requires precise navigation, speed, endurance and the ability to tackle the most demanding routes.
Rally Saudi Arabia – FIA World Rally Championship
A global round of the FIA World Rally Championship, offering drivers a diverse technical challenge across different roads and stages that reflect the Kingdom’s natural landscape and varied terrain.
FIA Extreme H World Cup
The world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport championship, combining off-road competition with sustainability and innovation. The championship was launched for the first time from Qiddiya.
The power of sport
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit is home to the Formula 1 stc Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Hosting its inaugural event in 2021, the world-class motorsport facility was constructed in a record time of just seven months and is the first of its kind in the Kingdom.
